Ground Cherries

Ground cherries are close relatives of tomatillos, considered a type of “husk tomato.” The flavor is often more tangy than sweet ground cherries husk tomatoes, husk cherries, poha berries, and golden berries. They are considered ripe once the papery calyx that encloses each fruit has dried and turned from green to light brown. The sweet little fruits will store for up to three months if kept in their husks


We proudly grow all of our seedlings in Chilliwack, BC, without the use of any chemical fertilizers or pesticides. All the seeds used have either been saved by us or sourced from reputable suppliers.
