COMMUNITY SUPPORTED GROWERS

You may have heard of CSA (Community Supported Agriculture)—this is similar, but for plants!

Essentially, you pre-purchase your plants at a discounted price and have a piece of mind that you are guaranteed certain varieties and number of plants. By doing so you help the grower to cover their start-up costs for this season. Read the full description below of how this program can benefit you!

* By participating in the CSG you automatically agree to our terms and conditions. Full details, terms and conditions can be found below.

You are able to per-purchase and reserve your seedlings at a discounted cost and you have the benefit of knowing you are guaranteed certain varieties and numbers of plants.

Roughly 50% of seedlings that we grow are available in the CSG. While the amount for each variety is limited in the CSG, we will have additional plants of each variety available during the spring season if you wish to purchase more.

As a small, family-run company, we don’t have access to large capital for expenditures, so this helps us raise a larger sum to cover the initial expenses of starting seedlings, plus some of the costs for the new equipment we will need to buy for the year. Grow lights, humidity domes and trays are just some examples!

Because we do such extensive research and actively listen to feedback regarding the varieties from our members, we are confident that you’ll receive varieties that are not only best suited for your growing conditions, but also the best tasting and most productive types.

WHAT WILL BE FUNDED FOR 2023!

Some past equipment the CSG helped fund

      Pulleys

Pulleys enable us to quickly adjust the height of the lights according the size the plants. (CSG 2021)

      Grow lights (Sunblasters)

Our first year running the CSG we used the funds to buy 12 more 4' T5 Sunblasters (grow lights). Which doubled our growing capacity (CSG 2020)

      Quad thick trays

For years we had issues with thin 1020 trays leaking and breaking during the first season!

So we invested in trays that are FOUR TIMES THICKER then the regular ones (CSG 2021)

      Additional 2" humidity domes

      These small
humidity domes helped ensure our grow lights would be as close as possible the soil (to keep it warm) to increase our germination rate (CSG 2021)
