Early, tough, and built for short seasons.
A prairie-bred determinate variety developed in the mid-1950s at the Morden Experimental Farm in Manitoba, Canada. Known for its ability to thrive in cool climates, Manitoba delivers reliable early harvests and strong yields even in short growing seasons—making it a dependable choice for West Coast gardens as well.
Plants are vigorous and bush-type, producing smooth, bright red fruits weighing around 170 g (6 oz). The flesh is firm and meaty with a fresh, tangy classic tomato flavour. Excellent for slicing, canning, and preserving.
